My first Marvel movie I got to watch in theaters the day of release. Absolutely insane of me to say considering I've been watching them from the very start, but it's true. I'd never been able to make it to the theaters whenever they'd be released, so I'd wait until they came out on streaming (and if you're wondering, yes, they were often spoiled for me due to having to wait that long). Now on to my review.

This movie was everything I had hoped it would be. There was action, comedy and a few sad scenes to tug at your heart strings. The introduction to Peter going through the changes with his arachnid DNA were super awesome too and seeing the reveal of Sadie Sink being Jean Grey was the cherry on top. I'm actually really excited to see her in the MCU and how she'll do with her role. I haven't watched Punisher (yet), but seeing Frank and Peter interact with each other was like watching two siblings bickering and got quite a few giggles out of me. Their moments together were a good refresher during all of the chaos.

I thought the scenes with Bruce were super neat and I'm wondering if we'll get an answer as to why Hulk had that look on his face whenever Peter told him it was him. Are the theories right that Hulk still remembers Peter because his memories weren't erased? I've been seeing some theories that the same happened to Ned due to him having the Sling Ring at the time they did their last handshake and them doing it again caused Ned to remember Peter because of the spell they accidently casted.

There's better articles online explaining what I mean since I can't type for shit HAHAHA, but that would be INSANE if it were true. This movie was very much needed since we hadn't seen Peter in 5 years now. It made me realize just how much I miss seeing him and watching Marvel movies. Now I just need to find the time to watch the shows...

HOH-LEE SHIT. That about sums up my feelings towards this movie. I'd seen plenty of movies with this general plot where the protagonist makes a wish about somebody falling in love with them and it going completely wrong, but what I wasn't expecting was the way I felt about Bear and how he went about the situation. When he finally realizes what has happened and his wish did come true, he immediately started taking advantage of Nikki. Not once did he ever try to go back to the place he got the One Wish Willow from to see if there was a way to reverse it until after it started getting bad and his fantasy of finally being with Nikki came crumbling down. When he said, "What's so bad about being with me?" after Nikki was begging him to kill her, I actually thought I was going to launch myself out of my chair. I personally do not believe he understood just how bad the situation was until after Nikki killed Sarah.

He puts Nikki through absolute hell by keeping her trapped in her body with a demon possessing it and still, instead of trying to make it right or do quite literally ANYTHING, he takes the easy way out and tries to kill himself by taking a whole bottle of oxycodone he had stored in his medicine cabinet. I guess you could maybe??? make the argument that the reason why he didn't try harder was because he felt like she was already too far gone, but even that is kinda like eh because what about all of the chances he had before and didn't take them? At the end of the movie, you can't help but to feel both anger and saddness. Anger because you cannot believe that Bear put her through all of that just to die in the end anyways. And then saddness because now only God knows what kind of mental state that will leave Nikki in and she will be left alone to pick up the pieces because her close friends have all died.

Overall, I felt like this was a pretty good movie. It featured new faces that I personally hadn't seen before (except Inde whereas I've seen her in 13 Reasons Why) and they each played the hell out of their roles. Especially Inde Navarrette who plays Nikki.
